Summary
ScreenDocks runs on your Mac and sends nothing about you or your Mac anywhere. No account, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs. The only network call is checking a Pro license key with Lemon Squeezy, the store that sells it.
What ScreenDocks reads on your Mac
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
Your macOS Dock settings (com.apple.dock) | To copy your Dock the first time, and to hide and later restore the original Dock |
| The list of running apps and the memory each one uses (read directly from macOS, your own apps only) | To show running apps on the Dock and, with RAM on Dock, which ones are heavy |
| The screens connected to your Mac | To give each screen its own Dock |
ScreenDocks never reads the contents of your apps, documents or windows, and never records your screen or keyboard.
What ScreenDocks saves on your Mac
Your Docks (pinned apps, position, style) in ~/Library/Application Support/ScreenDocks/settings.json; the trial start
date and your license key in your login Keychain. None of it leaves your Mac.
License key (Pro only)
When you activate a key, and each time ScreenDocks starts after that, it sends the key, an activation id and your Mac's name (so you can tell your Macs apart in your order) to Lemon Squeezy to check it. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy; we never see your payment details.
Children
ScreenDocks is not directed at children.
