Terms of Use
TapRec (Android) · Effective 12 October 2026
By downloading or using TapRec you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The app
TapRec records your phone's screen with sound and lets you cut, crop, add text and share the videos. Recording, editing and sharing are free. The free version shows ads.
TapRec Pro
TapRec Pro is a one-time purchase on Google Play — not a subscription, nothing renews. It removes ads and unlocks the Pro tools (Compress, Send to computer, face cam and drawing on screen), plus Pro tools added in later versions. Price is shown in the app in your local currency before you buy. Pro is tied to the Google account you bought it with; use Restore purchase to unlock it again on a new phone. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy.
What you record
You are responsible for what you record and share. Respect other people's privacy and copyright: do not record calls, video calls or content you do not have the right to record, and check that no private information (messages, notifications, passwords) is visible before sharing. Some apps block screen or sound capture; TapRec cannot bypass that.
Your videos
Your recordings belong to you. They are stored on your phone, and we have no copy of them. Keep your own backups — we cannot recover a video that was deleted from the phone.
No warranty
TapRec is provided "as is". We work to make it reliable, but we do not guarantee it will be error-free or work on every device, and recordings can fail (for example if the phone runs out of storage or another app takes over the screen). To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for lost recordings or other indirect damages.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. The current version is always on this page.
