Tab Manager — Privacy Policy
Extension: Tab Manager – Sticky Notes & Workspace · Last updated: October 21, 2026
This extension turns your new tab page into a workspace for saving, organizing and finding your browser tabs, with sticky notes and a focus timer next to them. It has no servers of its own, no account with us, and no analytics, tracking or advertising code. It does not collect, sell or share any personal data. Everything it keeps is stored in your own browser.
1. What We Store
Everything the extension keeps is in your own browser. None of it is sent to us.
| Data | Where it is stored | Why | Leaves your device? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tabs you save into folders and sessions — their title, address (URL) and icon | chrome.storage.local | Show your saved tabs on the new tab page and reopen them when you ask | No |
| Your folders — names, colors and order | chrome.storage.local | Keep your workspace the way you arranged it | No |
| Sticky notes — the text you type, their color, size and position | chrome.storage.local | Show your notes again the next time you open a new tab | No |
| Settings — auto-grouping rules, Pomodoro timer settings, dark mode preference | chrome.storage.local | Remember how you set the extension up | No |
2. What the Extension Does Not Do
- It does not read the content of the web pages you visit. It has no access to page content at all — only to the list of your tabs (title, address and icon).
- It does not ask for an account, an email address, or a sign-in.
- It does not track what you click or type, and it contains no analytics.
- It does not show ads and does not load or run code from the internet.
- It does not sell, rent or transfer your data to anyone.
3. Third-Party Services
None. The extension has no server and sends your data to no one — not to us and not to any third party. Tab icons are shown the same way Chrome shows them in its own tab strip.
4. Permissions
tabs— reads the title, address and icon of your open tabs so you can see, save, search, switch to, close and reopen them.tabGroups— lets the Auto Tab Grouper group your tabs by website, and restores a saved session with its tab groups.bookmarks— shows your Chrome bookmarks bar on the new tab page and includes your bookmarks in search. Bookmarks are only read on your device.storage— saves the data listed in section 1.sidePanel— shows a side panel with a quick overview of your tabs.notifications— tells you when a Pomodoro focus session or break ends.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
All data lives in your browser. Deleting a folder, session or note removes it, and uninstalling the extension removes everything. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete and nothing for us to hand over.
6. Children's Privacy
The extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. It collects no personal data from anyone.
7. Changes to This Policy
If a future version changes what the extension stores, or starts sending any data off your device, this page will be updated with a new date before that version ships, and the change will be called out in the release notes.
